Tag Sale Update & Details

We have made the difficult decision to completely cancel the sale as planned because of the continuing issues arising from the pandemic and the uncertain milk market. However,since many of the sale cattle were already trucked to the planned sale location here in Smithsburg, we are giving the consigners the option to price their cattle for a tag sale event.

Many of these cattle must be sold due to the unique and unprecedented circumstances. We feel they are priced well below their value, so take this opportunity to support these breeders and add their quality genetics to your herd.

Any lots with two or more interested parties will enter a bid-off. On May 1st at 12 Noon the lots will be sold to the highest bidder. If only one party has bid, that lot will be sold at the listed price.All offers will be seriously considered.

During this time you are welcome to stop by to look at the heifers that are here at Triple-Hil Sires. Please contact us to schedule a visit. If you would like to see pictures or videos of any of the cows or heifers please let us know.You can also contact the consigner if you have any questions about the cow family, etc.

We still hope to hold the Progeny Classic Sale at some time in the future, but it will not be until next year at the earliest. All we can do at this point is hope and pray that the dairy economy turns around.When all this is said and done we hope to bring the sale back bigger and better than ever!We are incredibly disappointed in the turn of events and we understand that many of you were as well.

After working with many of these cattle for the last month, we can tell you for a certainty that this is an extremely good group of offerings! The decades of balanced breeding shows. Here is an incredible opportunity to invest in beautiful, balanced heifers and cows backed by some of the greatest breeding in the country!

Payment:
Full payment must be made to Triple-Hil Sires before the cattle are moved.

Housing:
Animals are at purchaser’s risk as soon as sold, but will be cared for free of charge until Tuesday May 4th.
