“Rich comes from my favorite homebred cow family. He is the polled, A2/A2 son of my favorite cow, Mueller’s Burdette Renee (EX-93 4E). Renee is the type of cow that would catch the eye of everyone who walked in the barn when we were milking, and if it wasn’t Renee, it would be one of her daughters or grand-daughters. Her first 2 daughters were both Very Good as 2-year-olds and EX-90 as 3-year-olds. All 4 of her grand-daughters that were classified as 2-year-olds were scored VG.

Not only does this family regularly classify well, they know how to pay bills too, with daughters and granddaughters making records over 20,000 lbs of milk with 4.0% fat and over 3.0% protein. Most of these records were made on a simple ration of haylage, some corn silage, a grain mix and dry hay making up their diet. During summer months the dry hay was switched out for pasture grass. This family was also the anchor of our show string, with Renee herself being nominated Jr All American in 2017. Many family members have done very well in the showring over the years.” –Tami Mueller
