Pedigree Analysis & Progeny Description
This impressive EX-93 Whiteout son recently graduated to our proven lineup. As the decades of deep breeding on both top and bottom side of his pedigree would suggest, Genesis P is looking like a bull you can rely on.
The Genesis daughters have some resemblance to the Whiteouts, especially in their frames. They are generally wide through the front end, good depth and spring of rib, with true dairy quality. We’ve seen some really good uddered ones too, bringing in the influence from his maternal side with the likes of Ladd P-Red, Absolute-Red, and Goldwyn.
On the production side, the Genesis daughters are milking well, while maintaining good butterfat and protein.
This 5-6-1 coded, red-carrier bull also adds the positive traits of polled and A2/A2 Beta Casein. Be mindful in your matings that he does carry the CVM recessive trait. We have noticed a tendency for high pins in a few of the Genesis daughters.

comparable PTAT bulls
305-AA is the standardized milk, fat, and protein yield estimate used by CDCB to compare cows of different ages, parities, breeds, and regions on equal footing. According to CDCB and USDA AGIL, it represents “a 305-day lactation record at 36 months of age” — hence “Average Age,” or AA.
It replaced 305-ME (Mature Equivalent) in June 2024 for published records and was implemented in the calculation of CDCB genetic evaluations effective August 13, 2024. ME had been the standard since 1935.
How it is calculated
The new factors are applied as a series of separate multipliers for age-parity, season, previous days open, and milking frequency. Lactation records are adjusted upward or downward to what the cow would have been expected to produce as a 36-month-old, milked twice daily for 305 days.
Key adjustments include:
- Age-parity: Standardized to 36 months rather than ME’s mature range of 61–86 months depending on breed.
- Season/climate: Seasonal effects are now estimated within five regions defined by the average climate zone scores for each state, replacing the old three east-to-west geographic regions.
- Milking frequency: Still standardized to 2x milking, unchanged from ME.
- Previous days open: The methodology for this adjustment is also unchanged from ME.
